WAIVER / HOLD HARMLESS RELEASE - PLEASE READ
THIS RELEASE LIMITS YOUR RIGHTS TO RECOVER ANY DAMAGES IN CASE OF ACCIDENT.
In applying to enter the WSA surfing competition. I promise to inspect the contest site, and assure myself that the area is safe for surfing, and further agree that I will not surf in the competition unless I am satisfied the area and conditions are safe for surfing. I will further read and comply with all (WSA) rules and regulations, note existing weather and surf conditions, and agree that I voluntarily assume all risks arising from conditions relating to the use of the contest site by myself and others. In consideration of your acceptance of my entry, I intending to be legally bound hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors, and administrators, hold harmless and release and forever discharge (WSA) the Western Surfing Association, it’s Officers and Directors, it’s Officers and Directors, the City and County of the contest site, the State of California, all sponsors, together with their agents, members and officials connected with the competition, from liability for injuries and or damages whatsoever, arising from my presence or participation in this event. I attest that I am physically fit and have subsequently trained for this event and do hereby grant the Sponsors such release as described herein. By my Signature, I acknowledge that I have read and understand the above. I hereby certify that I am the parent or legal guardian of the surfer entering this competition, and I hereby give my full consent without reservation to the foregoing statement, and agree to hold the WSA, California State Parks and all sponsors free from any and all liability, I also give consent for any medical treatment when needed. I also understand that this event may be photographed and/or videotaped for publication in magazines, websites and television and give my permission for my/my child’s likeness to be used for said purposes.
