Welcome to the WSA West Coast Championships at Church, San Onofre State Beach. This event is invitation only to competitors that surfed in a minimum of 6 regular season events (4 for Adaptive Divisions). Please, only sign up for the division(s) for which you qualified. If you sign up for a division you have not qualified for, you will be immediately removed from that division and your entry fee will be refunded less the convenience fee.
Please note - all divisions may run on BOTH Saturday and/or Sunday. This is not like the regular season events when you ran on Saturday OR Sunday. We will be running 4 person heats with STACTAPP Computer Scoring. Competitors will receive a t-shirt and pancakes for breakfast and a hot lunch both days. Parking in the Trestles Event lot will be available for $20 per day with no "in and out" allowed.
This is our Hoppy Swarts Memorial Event. Hoppy was the founder of WSA back in 1961. He is regarded as the "Father of Modern Surf Competition." He devised the scoring system and heats used in most events today. Learn about Hoppy Swarts HERE
